MojoKelt: Bio
MojoKelt - Rock 'n' Folk'n Roll!
Formed in January 2006, MojoKelt is a mix of traditional Celtic folk music with rock drums and funk bass.
Building on some of the styles created by Planxty, the Bothy Band and others, Mojo Kelt have created a sound that has not been heard in traditional music since these bands left the scene: Driving melodies and rhythms combined with sensitive and subtle playing.
With a line-up that includes former members of Polydor recording artists "Heritage" MojoKelt has a strong musical pedigree and bright musical future.
Pre-production has already started on their much awaited studio album, with hints emerging that the music will be something that will make the world sit up and notice of this band from Co. Armagh.
Appealing to mainstream audiences as well as traditional music fans, they have already made a name for themselves across Europe and it is only a matter of time before their brand of music takes them across the world.
Paul McKernan - Uilleann pipes, Whistles, Vocals
Six-time All-Ireland Uilleann Pipe champion and former member of "Heritage", Paul is also a member of "Dolloghan" and has been playing traditional music almost his whole life.
After many years of playing and touring, Paul has justifiably gained a reputation as one of the country's top Uilleann pipers. His driving playing and improvisational skills make him one of the most unique pipers playing today.
Paul is also a highly respected SCUBA diving instructor.

Adrian McParland - Bouzouki, Guitar, Vocals
Adrian, a former member of "Heritage" is one of the most exciting performers on the traditional music scene.
His bouzouki playing is second to none and he has been a first-call musician for many traditional music performers for many years.
As the front man with MojoKelt, Adrian's animated performances help to engage audiences and ensures that a great night's craic is always to be found at a MojoKelt concert.

Brendan Gorman - Drums, Percussion, Vocals
Brendan, a former member of "Heritage" is one of those drummers whose skills transcend the role of "Sticksman".
Brendan has played Irish music and rock for many years and has a vast array of experience. He is also not afraid to experiment and has recently been using one of the most modern of electronic drum kits to see if it will suit the MojoKelt sound.
Brendan is also a low handicap golfer and regular winner on the local golfing scene.

Tom Watson - Bass, Guitar, Vocals
Tom has many years experience in all types of music, although is a newcomer to traditional music. He has in the past played with Irish/Persian group "Zarb".
A former session player, Tom is also heavily involved in songwriting and has worked with many of the music industry's big names. Currently spending a lot of time writing and producing, Tom is also a member of both "Nur" and "Anonymous4". His bass playing has been singled out for praise on many occasions and adds another unique flavour to MojoKelt.
