MojoKelt would like to once again thank Olaf, Erica, Bally, Gemma and all the staff at the Dubliner for the great time they had at the Dubliner in Oslo. More thanks go to Stevie and Sean Hampton who had the band over to their home for a great combined 18th and housewarming party! Everyone had such a great time they can't wait to go back!

Tom was playing with Jane Dowd in Matt Molloy's bar in Westport, Co. Mayo recently and gave Matt, Seamus, the bar manager, the staff and twenty lucky people, a copy of the "Live at the Grange" cd.

So if any of you are looking in, MojoKelt would like to say a big "Hello!" and hope to see you in Westport at some stage soon!

MojoKelt are off to Norway again in August, back to see all our friends in Oslo and the Dubliner.

The band can't wait to try out new material and tunes on an unsuspecting Norwgegian population!

The Mojos have been quiet over the last few weeks - this being the traditional holiday in Northern Ireland.

The guys have been using their time wisely, planning recording sessions and writing and planning new tunes.

Tom recently played live on the Charlie McGettigan show with Janet Dowd and gave Charlie a copy of the CD, so if you're out there Charlie we hope you liked it!

The band had a brilliant time last night at the Joefest in Lurgan. Many thanks to Geoff and all the gang for helping to orgainse such a good event for charity.

Well done to all the bands who gave freely of their time to raise money for the Newry Hospice and the Parkinson's Disease Society.

Brendan has been under the weather recently with a vist to hospital required.

We know you'll all wish him the best and a speedy recovery.

There is no truth to the rumour that they scanned his head but didn't find anything - even if he is a drummer!

No, not the title of the new album! Adrian has just gotten word that he will be stuck abroad for a week due to the recent volcanic ash cloud over europe.

We hope he will be back in time to rehearse for the JoeFest in June!

Joefest is in aid a good cause and with a full day's entertainment it shoud be good craic as well!

It is with great sadness that we announce that Brendan's mother passed away shortly after 4pm today. Though expected, it was nonetheless a great sadness to the family and friends.

All of MojoKelt and our supporters would like to pass on our condolences and best wishes at this saddest of times.

With MojoKelt about to leave for France, it is with huge disappointment that we have to announce that Brendan is unable to go due to a family emergency.

MojoKelt wishes Brendan and his family all the best in this difficult time.

MojoKelt wil be playing Brysons in Magherafelt on Tuesday 16th March, in a Saint Patrick's eve gig! Be there if you can because the band is getting ready for the trip to Grillon on Friday!

On Saturday next the band plays in Grillon, France, at their tenth anniversary Saint Patrick's festival, along side the roots music superstar Carlos Nunez.

Carlos has played with Ry Cooder, Sharon Shannon, Sinéad O'Connor, The Chieftains, Altan, Liam O'Flynn, Los Lobos, Linda Rondstadt and La Vieja Trova Santiaguera and MojoKelt are delighted to be appearing alongside someone of his abilities!


And in May the band will be appearing at the "Joefest" festival in Lurgan! We will have more news on this soon, and details of another "Live in the Shade" studio recording session will be available in the coming weeks.

MojoKelt has just been confirmed for the Grillon festival ten-year anniversary. The band is delighted as the festival chose their favourite acts from the last ten years to invite back and they enjoyed themselves very much the last time they were over.

MojoKelt got the nod over several more famous Irish and European artists, which is quite a boost for he Band's egos!

We have added a quick video from the recent gig at "In The Shade" Studios to give you a flavour of the event. Unfortunately, due to technical difficulties we have only this short piece of footage and the sound is a bit raw as it is taken from the camera's mic.

Still, it shows what the band sounds like live, so enjoy!

The song is "The Tear that Stains your Face". Written by Tom, the band will include it on their forthcoming album, but for now it is available on the UNIFEM charity album.

MojoKelt would like to thank everyone who turned out to support the "Hope for Haiti" benefit on Saturday night past. The band played well and all the bands entertained the audience for the full evening. Lots of money was donated but as yet, we have no final figure!

MojoKelt will be playing at the "Hope for Haiti" benefit gig at the Millenium Arts Centre in Portadown on February 13th. Doors open at 7.00pm. Please give generously.

We have also been contacted by our good friends in Grillon, France, so there is a chance that MojoKelt may be paying them a return visit in March! The band had such a great time two years ago that they are delighted at the possibility of going back!

We should have news soon about a possible trip to America - keep your fingers crossed!

We should point out that we haven't put any gigs on the site for a while because we're trying to figure outthe best way to post the same information in several places at once - yes we're that lazy! Hopefully we will update that part of the site soon.

We should definitely get out more! Seriously, we had such a great time and even though the technical issues with the video and recording mean there'll be no video from this gig, we had an amazing time!

Ok, so technology has beaten us this time! The gig won't be webcast this time but we do promise to do something in the new year - probably in May, or so.

There will be a song or two from the gig on the 17th on YouTube very soon after the gig so even if you can't be there you will be able to see some of what went on!
